We attended last weekend's October Komiket 2017

The Filipino Komiks and Art Market!

(October 14 -15, 2017)

We have a lot of new comics released, along with our other existing comics, and poetry books plus art postcards, stickers and also art advice to fellow aspiring comic book artists! :)

Here's our line up of our self published comics! :)

We also released the second chapter of Delivery Boys! Delivery Boys Chapter 2 is where the bike joust action starts. And what's more it was well received by people that we ran out of copies of issue #1 the first day and we had to reprint it along with the second one! 

And even on the second day, Delivery Boys Chapter 1 was sold out and Chapter 2 with only two left after the event! Thanks to everyone who supported Delivery Boys! I promise to make it better and better every succeeding chapter. :)

Congrats to my wife Guadix in releasing her third issue of Da-ib! <3

Da-ib is a story about a group of friends, kids who live in a world almost filled
with water and the adventure they embark after rescuing a mysterious girl
hunted by the authorities.

An avid reader of ours Ian bought the first two chapters of Da-ib
from the previous comics convention and she's happy to get the 3rd issue
of Da-ib along with Delivery Boys chapter 2! :)

YOLO by Benedict Reyna

You guys should try to read this one when you get the chance to see it. It's a simple story and one of most innovative comic book tricks someone has done so far. It's art!! I really loved this one especially the drawings, it has a holy/unholy feel to it, which is a good thing. You just have to read it for yourself to experience what I'm talking about! :)

I also released the 10th Chapter of Satan High! It's an intense battle in Hell Cage and also half of Satan's classmates along with him barely alive traverse the hallways of Satan High going to the clinic only to be ambushed by... PIGS?!

It was sad they weren't present on day 2, but man we must've had
at least 3 of these babies! It was so good! :D

Da-ib Chapters 1 - 3

Clowder

You might be wondering what these two books are by now, well they're poetry books by yours truly entitled Bunshin! They are a collection of poems, each book has 30 poems inside and the Blue Bunshin is all Tagalog poems while the Pink Bunshin is all English poems.

They are not translations mind you, each book has a different poem because sometimes, there are poems that are better spoken or written or read in our mother tongue and some are great to write and read in English. I hope I can share this with more people who love and read and write their own poems! :)

Delivery Boys

Satan High

Our Komiket neighbor Maura asked us to trade some of our stuff with what they have. They are from the group Kuwit, a group from The Philippine High School of the Arts and they traded me this gem, The Kindred. I have not yet read it but man, look at that art for the cover!! It was made by Julia Elisha Tan and inside are a lot of works by different artists and writers. Go find this book at the next comics convention and support them! :)

 Our friend Yukihiru and her friend Roxette Magat created their first books, Pure Soul and The Lone Flower Through a Storm respectively. They are fairly new to the scene, but both of the shows tremendous promise. They still have a long way to to in terms of perfecting their craft as I've seen browsing their works, but they are already past the hardest part; starting.

They only need to keep it up, improve some more and tell their stories that they feel need to be heard and read by people and their all set. Like I always say to people who are starting or wanting to start their own comics;

"It's not easy to start your own comic book with your own story, but it's also not impossible."

"De Profundis" is a comic book consists of many artists and
their group is called Komikids.
My wife says that it was a good read and there are a lot of
interesting short  stories in this anthology book.
And just look at that cover! :D

Me tired and in need of a good night's sleep after being up
for at least 4 days. :)

But it's all good and worth it when you are with someone you love
doing what you love. You will truly excel and bring others up with you!

What else could be fitting after creating manga, and talking to
anime and comic book lovers than a Japanese dinner.
